Food labels must give the name and complete address of the manufacturer or agent and the country of origin, and locally made food must add the premises location (house or plot number or Ghana Post digital address); locally manufactured cosmetics must bear the FDA registration number (cosmetics guideline 3.1.13).
Labelling shall be in English, legible and in indelible ink, on both primary and secondary packaging; cosmetics with foreign-language labels must carry English product information or a translation (3.1.5).
Documentary evidence must be provided to substantiate nutrition information and claims on food labels; claims on cosmetics must not imply therapeutic action (cosmetics guideline 3.2.1).
